AstraZeneca Says It Will Ship Over 160,000 Vaccines This Month

( .- The pharmaceutical company AstraZeneca assures that during this month it will send more than 160 thousand vaccines against COVID-19 to the country.

“The bilateral agreement signed between AstraZeneca and the Government of Costa Rica establishes the conditions of delivery of the vaccines, with which it has been complying To the date.

In this sense, 163,200 doses will be delivered to the country in July. At AstraZeneca we continue to support the Government of Costa Rica to help end the pandemic ”, they reported through a statement.

The announcement was made by the company after this Tuesday the Minister of Health, Daniel Salas, announced at the press conference that the National Commission for Vaccination and Epidemiology (CNVE) approved that in the event of a missing AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine domestically due to delays in shipments, the second dose is allowed to be completed with the Pfizer vaccine, according to the scheme in force in the country.

According to data from the Costa Rican Social Security Fund second doses of AstraZeneca are available until the third week of August to complete the respective diagrams.
