( -The deputy Paola Valladares, of the National Liberation Party (PLN), asked the President of the Republic, Carlos Alvarado, extend the opening hours of the commercial premises in all the country.

The legislator ruled in favor of a request made by the National Union of Local Governments (UNGL) to the president so that the opening hours of businesses nationwide are extended from 5 am to 11 pm

Valladares argued that the commercial section has been greatly affected by the measures imposed by the Government to contain the advance of the pandemic of the COVID-19.

“It requires support at this time to avoid more business closings and small businesses. I hope that the Executive power listen to this request in the absence of proposals to reactivate the economy, “said the liberationist.

Currently, commercial premises are allowed to operate until 9 pm, according to provisions of the Ministry of Health to avoid contagion of COVID-19.
