(CRHoy.com) -The deputy Yorleny Leon, of the National Liberation Party (PLN), asked the Government to declaration of emergency in the province of Limón, after the heavy rains that affected the country this week.

León assured that, according to information from the Commission for Risk Prevention and Emergency Attention (CNE), are in the stage of rescue.

But once this phase is concluded, the CNE will assess the request for the emergency declaration to be issued.

The measure would make it possible to dispose of resources and inputs necessary to begin reconstruction tasks.

“I have no doubt that the quantification of the damages that have been generated it will be considerable, but what we cannot do is allow the same thing to happen as in other moments in history, that the decisions do not take time and the resources never arrive ”, declared the liberationist.

León said that since last Friday he has been in communication with the CNE authorities to follow up on the actions that are being carried out to provide assistance to the flooded communities and assist the victims through the delivery of food and water cisterns, as well as the arrangement of pipes.
