The president of the Salvadoran Football Federation, Hugo Carrillo, announced that ‘La Selecta’ will have a blank against Costa Rica on August 21 in Los Angeles, United States.

“Thank God we were able to close the negotiation so that our team can play against Costa Rica,” said Carrillo.
In this way, the coach of Costa Rica, Luis Fernando Suárez, will be able to adjust details for the first elimination match towards Qatar 2022, which will be against Panama on September 2.
For its part, El Salvador’s first game will be against the United States in the Salvadoran capital.
The Concacaf tie will qualify three teams for the Qatar 2022 World Cup. Fourth place will play a playoff against a rival from a confederation to be defined.
