Fabricio Alvarado celebrates approval of the project to build a Center for Medical Specialties in Sarapiquí

San José, Jul 22 (elmundo.cr) – The presidential candidate for the New Republic, Fabricio Alvarado, celebrated the approval in the second debate of the project to build the Center for Medical Specialties in Sarapiquí.

The initiative that is under file 21,010 was presented by the New Republic deputy, Jonathan Prendas, and seeks that the medical center serve the population of Sarapiquí and also the Huetar Norte and Atlántica regions.

Given this, Alvarado said that he received with great joy the news of the approval of this project.

«Very happy, I imagine that you are happier and tell you that during our administration of the New Republic government from 2022 we are going to conclude this great effort that began in this period, so that we can see built that medical center that you have waited for during so many years, “added Alvarado.

The population of Sarapiquí must travel 100 kilometers to reach the San Vicente de Paúl Hospital, located in the center of Heredia.

The Center for Medical Specialties will be built in La Virgen and will solve the problem of access to hospital services for 80,000 inhabitants of Sarapiquí. It could also serve thousands of residents of Río Cuarto and other surrounding communities.
