Valladares asks the president to make the Declaration of National Emergency in Turrialba

San José, Jul 25 (elmundo.cr) – Given the meteorological conditions that have been generated since last Thursday, the liberationist deputy Paola Valladares asked the president to make the Declaration of National Emergency in the canton of Turrialba.

Valladares pointed out that “in view of the worrying situation that the Turrialbeños are experiencing due to the heavy rainfall in recent hours, I have sent an excitatory letter to Mr. President Carlos Alvarado, to make the Declaration of National Emergency in the canton of Turrialba.”

The legislator explained that “the Declaration of National Emergency allows an exceptional treatment of the state of urgent need and grants the government the possibility of agilely operating sufficient resources to attend to people, goods and services in danger.”

In addition, from the early hours of this Saturday the deputy traveled to La Suiza de Turrialba to assess the damage caused by the floods caused by the overflow of the Tuis river.

“As an office, we will provide accompaniment to each of the affected communities,” said Valladares.

This Saturday afternoon Valladares continued his tour of the districts of Santa Teresita and Peralta, where he met with the president of the Peralta Development Association, Oscar Ramos and Mr. Jorge Valerio, to assess the damage caused by the heavy rains, on public roads and bridges.
