(CRHoy.com) The swimmer Arnoldo Madrigal was “very happy” with his participation in the Tokyo Olympics on Tuesday.
The Tico finished his 200-meter breaststroke competition with a time of 2:20:09, with which he was seventh in heat 1.
“A very nice experience, being able to swim in this great competition, which is the maximum that athletes want to beMadrigal commented.
“I closed with the best time I have this year and 32 hundredths of my best time in the event. Very happy with my participation here and I enjoyed it to the fullest “he added.
The best mark of the Costa Rican is 2:19:71, and he achieved it the previous year in Paraguay.
Madrigal, 25, received an invitation to participate in his first Olympics.
